St. Peter’s Catholic School Earlyact Club is off to a great start! In this photo AG Eric Davis holds Yoda’s staff for the students to touch as they promise to do Service Above Self. Master Yoda, a centuries-old member of the esteemed Dagobah Rotary Club, lent the staff to Eric for the member induction ceremony. The students could feel The Force urging them to do good in the world!

Families Helping Families
The Rotary of the Vista Night adopted a family of four this holiday season. Rotarians collected gifts for a local family in need. Last night members of the Rotary of the Vista Night stayed after the weekly meeting to wrap a bike, toys, clothing, shoes, infant supplies and gift cards for an adopted family this Christmas.
The Rotary of the Vista Night embodies “service above self” through many projects both inside and outside of Rotary. Some of the projects that the Rotary of the Vista Night has developed include fundraising initiatives for local non-profits, services projects with Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army and Rotary International.
Donating Dictionaries
On Friday, November 21 Rotarians from the Rotary of the Vista Night donated dictionaries to over 60 Third Grade students at Bradley Elementary School. The students were very excited to receive the donation and the participating Rotarians enjoyed giving back to local students.
The Rotary of the Vista Night is also adopting a family in need this holiday season through the Families Helping Families program and will be bell-ringing for the Salvation Army in December.
Fun with Stickers
Last night the Rotary of the Vista Night’s members added stickers to all the books and art materials to be donated to the Gonzales Gardens “Here Comes Kindergarten” project. We also put stickers in all of the dictionaries we are donating to Bradley Elementary. As you can see, we had a lot of fun and got finished in record time!
August Updates
August was a busy month for the Rotary of the Vista Night! We always appreciate our weekly speakers but this month was extra special. Todd Ellis (@toddellissc), the Play-by-Play announcer for the South Carolina Game Cocks and the host of “Carolina Calls with Steve Spurrier” & “The Steve Spurrier Show” was a guest speaker. We are excited to announce that he was inducted as an honorary member of the Rotary of the Vista Night.
Each spring the Rotary of the Vista Night hosts a fundraiser for a local non-profit. This year the Garden Party supported the hard work of Hidden Wounds. In August we were happy to provide a check for over $5000 to this great organization.
The 2015 Garden Party beneficiary applications are now available! Do you know a charity that would be a great match? Applications are due back by November 1st.

Rotary International is one of the largest service organizations on earth, with more than one million members worldwide. Rotarians led the effort in the eradication of polio, and they are force in the movement to ensure clean drinking water for everyone on earth.
At Rotary of the Vista Night we organize projects to support our veterans, build homes for those in need, help share the gift of learning through Rotary Reader, provide life-saving surgeries for children through Gift of Life and so much more.
Think you don’t have time for Rotary?
Think again.
Your hands could be the ones to provide polio vaccinations to children in countries where polio still exists.
Your face could be the one lighting up with a smile that mirrors the smile of the child who just got her first new pair of shoes in ages.
Your heart could soar with the child in need who got a Rotary-provided bicycle for Christmas.
If you’ve been thinking about getting involved and changing the world then please contact the Rotary of the Vista Night.
